"Reinstalling" with no CDs.

I have lost my Civ4 CDs. A while ago I downloaded BTS from Direct2Drive, so that I could play without CDs. Later, I uninstalled the games, but I had made a copy of the game files (.dlls and all) on a second hard drive.

Now, because of that copy, I can actually run the game, but I can't install patches because my game isn't actually installed on my computer. I redownloaded BTS to try reinstalling, but because Civ4 isn't installed, it didn't work.

Any ideas how I can "reinstall" without CDs?

actually，when you install BTS3.19patches,you can paly without CDs,and the patches should't rely on the game.maybe you should choose another patches.
there is hyperlinkshttp://www.firaxis.com/downloads/Patch/Civ4BeyondTheSwordPatch3.19.exe from Official website.you just need covery these file.
I hope the behvior neither violation of fourm rules nor Intellectual property rights protection law.

I did buy BTS when I downloaded it, just to be clear. And, I don't want to violate any copyright laws, which may force me to buy the CDs or just play with BTS 3.13.

I'm sorry. i'm Chinese, all most people use Pirated software in PC.so...I just care about
foregin copyright laws or something. copyright or "copyleft" hoo

you should upgrade to 3.17 and than upgrade to 3.19.
