Relationship between crime and ethics

Yes. It does look that way.

However, there's also the "Collective Ego" to dissolve away as well, isn't there?

The Fascist state is a peculiarly ego-driven entity in its own right, no?

The idea that Fascism has is that this particular over-arching structure can be described as having an Ego, yes, and that it competes with other over-arching structures.

Hmm. When individuals surrender their self-interest to that of the fascist state, they experience a sense of freedom and purpose and work very hard for the "greater" cause. They haven't really experienced a loss of ego, though, imo. But simply subsumed it, by identifying with the national ego.

Getting rid of the ego, in Buddhist terms, means that you relinquish all identification with forms - whether that's your idea of yourself or your idea of your nation.

I think that might be about right. Though I'm no expert by any means.

From a psychoanalytic standpoint maybe. From the Philosophical Fascist's point of view though, the self (including the self's ego) never existed as anything other than a instance of the national phenomenon. By recognizing this, the ego acts with a greater degree of freedom, because it is now freed from the "constraint" of an atomist ideology. Meaningful freedom being the freedom to obey rules/purpose, in this case.

Well yes, the Buddhist and the Fascist are very far apart philosophically. Buddhists, AFIK would reject that the self has substantial existence even as part of a social structure. The Fascist doesn't so much reject the ego as sees it as a instance and function of a larger whole, and organ of the state as it were.
