Religion being founded automatically without any sense and order

I've got a strange problem. It seems that any time I start a game, after a few turns (usually about 7), one or two religions are being founded by random civilizations but regardless of the technology tree.

For example, in my scenario, only Christianity is the one religion that hasn't been founded when I start the game. I have moved it to a technology that is waaay ahead and even disabled (using <bDisable>). So nobody can research it.

But guess what, that religion is still founded a few turns in with no sense whatsoever. I don't get it.

Is there some automated process going on and can I get to the bottom of this? Maybe there is a script that forces at least one religion to be founded at the beginning of the game by an AI civilization.

Anyone got a clue?

Do you have the 'choose religion' option set?

Nope!

Additionally, are you starting in an era other than ancient? If so, then all of the civs will have the tech for at least three religions, so they get founded at random a few turns in.

Well, I am starting in the Classical era. Do they also get founded randomly in this case if I do not have the "Choose Religions" option enabled?

Mmh I see, that probably was the cause, but I did manage to make a workaround.

I've simply rendered the prototype function that would be used to found a religion useless and made my own that I use for scripted events like Christianity being founded at a later time.

Thanks for the information!
