I am sorry if this was previously posted somewhere and I missed it.

I am looking for a detailed explanation for changes to religion.

I am looking to see what was changed in VP v Vanilla Civ. For example I cannot find Desert Folklore or Tithe anymore. Was this a change from VP or was this a 2K change and what updated strategies are everyone using now.

Just about every facet of religion has been tweaked, balanced, or overhauled in VP. Desert Folklore is now "Spirit of the Desert", Tithe is now "Thrift", there are a lot more religious building beliefs, etc. Most of these changes have been pretty stable but the religious pressure mechanic has gone through several significant changes over the years, including how inquisitors function.
