Shouldn't some of the religion forbidden usage of certain resource? For example: Muslim don't use pork; Hindu won't eat beef, etc.. Any Hindu or Muslim here? What do you think of this issue? Is it a problem or not?

I guess it is good to give the religions some variety.

As a trade-off, it may helps those people to immune from certain disease, such as mad cow, etc. :)

Cows give milk. Perhaps Hindu cities with cow pastures use them for milk only. There are also practical non slaughter purposes for pigs. If you ever go to a third world country, the pigs' presense are appreciated because they eat garbage.

this is a game based on abstractions, so the cow and pig really arent that big a deal. Cows are still used for farming and leather and milk, etc. Just cause you don't eat the meat doesnt mean they arent useful to have =)
