Hi,

I wondered about something, why the heroes abandoning you if you switch religion never come back if you are another civ get back to the first religion? Case in point, I abandon Kilmorph and the Dwarves are still using it. Why they should not get Bambur now that he abandonned me?

Alos, are high priest abandonning you when you switch religion? I'm unsure but I would like to know!

I hope I understood your questions correctly.
Firstly, if you switch religions, you lose your religious hero.
However, if you switch back, you are still able to rebuild him if no one else has built him. When you switch away and your hero abandons you, a rival civ with that religion would be able to build him before you do.

Secondly, I believe that you lose your high priests when you switch religions as well.

That said, I think I do recall a game back in the pre-034 era when forests turned ancient very rapidly that I basically pre-built Bambur to one turn of completion, swapped to Leaves for 10 turns for ancient foresting, then swapped back to Runes and finished Bambur in 1 turn.
