Rename Planets/Ships

Is there any way to rename ships and planets? Hard to believe that ability would have been left out of the game.

Unfortunately there is also no quick and easy way to mod the game, I've found out after poking around. Everything seems to be packed in a single BIN file.

You know I was extremely disappointed with this also. It seems like it would be an easy thing that would make the game more personal. I'd like to see more customization.

I wanted to rename my main flagship to Reverie, I was quite disappointed in Sid Meier's refusal to let me name my mighty battleship.

For better or worse, the game is very basic. No frills. It's meant to be quick, simple and fun. I was able to pick it up and start playing with very little learning curve.

It's priced accordingly, though some will want to wait for a better price than $15.
