Repeated Blight?

I just eliminated Hyborem, and I made a point of razing his cities. The Apocalypse counter reached 30 before the war, but razing the infernal cities has reduced it to 28. I'm probably going to increase it more in the future. Do I need to worry about getting my cities blighted for that? I'm still not fully recovered from the first time.
