I hate USSR (Polish guy here), but I am trying to rebuild this giant.
I would like to have its production oriented with low unit maintenance costs.
Is there any similar guide for this type of nation? I noticed there is not a single country oriented on production. Am I wrong?

The Songhai have one of the best early production buildings (the Tabya), and England one of the best later ones (the Steam Mill). You could also rely on Incan terraces or Hunnic Eki.

Play Europa Universalis on earlier patches as Muscovy.

I cant stand multiplayer though.

Pick Authority as your first policy tree. It grants extra production in every city and gives advantage for aggressive expansion, which you most likely want if you are going to play a giant. Many Civs are ok for going huge. My first one was Rome. It isn't exactly a production oriented civ, but its ability, making it easier to build buildings in secondary cities, acts like a production bonus.
