Requested Units

Hey all. I'm no good at modding so I would like to request two units.

Now I was thinking, what if a Civ 5 could have more than 2 UU's or UB's. If it is possible, then I would like to request two more units for Russia:

Typhoon
Movement: 7; Strength: 37; Ranged Strength: 81; Range: 3; Cost: 500; Required Resource: Aluminum
Technology: Computers
Abilities: Invisible to all Units except and other Submarines, can see Submarines, +50% bonus vs. Submarines, may enter Ice tiles, may not melee attack.
Notes: The Typhoon is a Russian unique unit; replaces the Nuclear Submarine.
Can carry up to 3 missiles. It also is stronger and has one more movement than the Nuclear Sub. It is also invisible to Destroyers. Appearance based on the Russian Typhoon class submarine.

Tsar Bomba
Range: 10; Cost: 1420; Required Resource: Uranium x 2
Technology: Nuclear Fission
Abilities: Evasion (50).
Notes: Tsar Bomba is a Russian unique unit; replaces the Atomic Bomb.
The Tsar Bomba is radically far more expensive than the A-Bomb, or the Nuclear Missile, but it does cost 2 Uranium. The Tsar Bomba, when detonated, destroys everything within the blast radius; units, cities, everthing. It is the last word in nuclear power. It's blast radius is also 3 squares instead of 2.

It has a blast radius of 3 squares, instead of 2. But it has less range than the Atomic Bomb.

Tsar Bomba is a pretty poor weapon. It's horribly expensive, probably would require more uranium than a regular atomic bomb, and the blast radius would damage yourself most of the time. The only reason the Russians ever detonated it was just to show they could but the weapon is horribly ineffective and the ultra-huge and slow bomber used to deliver the bomb would be easy to shoot down.

Yeah, but still. I did forget about the uranium. I have forgotten how much uranium the A-Bomb costs, so just add +1 uranium to it's cost.

Now you ran into another huge problem.

The Tsar Bomba is a powerful weapon that can be used tactically, taking away the "tactical" use of the atomic bomber. Also, the weapon has a short range. So short that firing it from a city would be INSANE because unless its fired at maximum range, it'll hit inside territory.

Here's what I would do. Make it replace the nuclear missile (meaning it would cost 2 uranium), reduce the range of the missile to that of the Atomic Bomb, and make it more expensive to build. That way its a truly doomsday weapon.

And one of the whole points of the Typhoon, is so it can carry more NUCLEAR missiles. Yes it could carry normal missiles, but they are not nuclear, so yeah...

Any ideas on how to get around this I would appreciate, so they can have the Tsar and also have nuclear missiles.

Make it replace the Atomic Bomber, make it radically expensive to reflect how using just fission is ineffective for the bomb, and then create a UB that makes construction of the TB on par with the nuclear missile?

Ok. I have edited the OP. I hope that reflects the idea of it being the ultimate doomsday weapon. Yes, Russia will not be able to get nukes quickly, or cheaply; but they will be really powerful, and I think that reflect reality quite well.

Well, one guy was working on a Tsar Bomba unit that worked on a larger scale than the one yours was going for but he ran into the problem of getting the radius to expand past the nuke missile's radius.
