Tech tree 'turns until complete' sometimes shows strangely. For anyone encountering research issues (negative turns or other odd behavior), this information would be tremendously helpful:
  • Current :c5science: progress on the tech
  • Required :c5science: to complete it
  • Current sci/turn (as displayed on top-left information)
  • Current sci/turn from research agreements
  • Number of declarations of friendship signed
  • Output in the tuner when you end your turn

I've been having difficulty finding the problem because it doesn't happen for me, and I've checked over the code without successfully finding the bug. This information would really help track down exactly where it is.
 
I am playing a huge game, and believe I should have one more turn to research robotics, but am at (-0) to complete, -0 on the tech tree, 0 (no -) on the top left, 459.1 science per turn from RA's, and 5 DoF's active according to Info Addict. I have to shut down the game to open FireTuner, and then get no info on the FT screen, and uploading the auto save is failing.
 
I haven't seen any display oddness, but I've noticed it's almost always wrong. I generally receive a tech when it still shows 3-4 turns remaining.

Along similar lines, I just noticed a captured AI city registering -1 population. The city eventually disappeared.

I could be completely crazy, but I've also noticed them switching back to their original owner before finally being destroyed. I thought at first that it had been captured back but then it was gone the next turn.
 
Continuing on counts being off, I recently had two turns to go on a tech - chose an SP that pit em at one - then remained at one after the following turn. In other words it took me two turns to research the tech, despite the SP seemingly knocking off a turn.

Also related, the tech counter stays witht he researched tech, set at 0, until another tech is chosen.
 
The "turns until complete" is always going to show 0 for the tech currently being researched when it's complete, since there's 0:c5science: left to go on it.

Captured cities going to negative population is a vanilla bug in the c++ we can't fix, same with owner oddities.

i have a problem with your mod and i hope you have a idea what's the matter. If i started a new game every time i have a bug in the tech tree. He looks like defect.

I played with the last update from your mod and not another mod is activated.

I have the issue where it gives me techs faster than the display, I'm pretty sure it has to do with the way you do the research agreement. I'm usually a builder, so other civs don't get upset with me. Often I'll have declaration of friendship with 3-5 other players.

This game I had several research agreements, and it started giving me a tech each turn. I was researching about 140 beakers per turn, about 100 from me and 40 from the research agreements.

I was 429/1296 towards a tech and I got it the next turn. It showed that I was 736/1872 towards the next tech and it gave that one to me the next turn. It then showed that I was 139/1872 towards the next tech, and I got that one on the next turn also.

If you can provide me a zip of your mods folder and a savegame, that would help me track down the issue. :)
 
In this save, I start off with 3 declaration of friendships. When the turn is done, Japan should offer a fourth. It says I'm earning about 140 beakers per turn, put my progress is more like 1200.
