I've only played a handful of Civ III games and the resources thing has really caused me problems.
I've yet to have coal or rubber as a resource in my domain. I've always had to bragain for them.
If I cut down all the jungles around my cities does that mean I've eliminated the chance of discovering rubber in later years? Same question re coal. If I mine all the hills and mountains before the advent of steam power, does that deplete future coal deposits?
Horses and iron are great up til about 1500AD, but after that I'd like to have access to some of the good resources.
