I am trying to use Civ3Edit Version 1.06 on a Windows XP Pro system and having some difficulties. This version of Civ3Edit came on the same CD with Civ3 version 1.29f.
I can create a map and edit it all right, but the Resources button is greyed out.
When I uncheck Use Default Rules and then try to Edit Rules, only 6 of the 15 tabs work: General, Combat Experience, Terrain, Difficulty Levels, Diplomats and Spies, and World Sizes. The remaining tabs -- Citizens, Civilizations, Governments, Civilization Advances, Improvements and Wonders, Natural Resources, Culture, Units, and Eras -- are all greyed out.
The Help system seems to tell me that all the tabs under Edit Rules should work, so I don't understand what's happening.
I've looked a little for a patch and so far haven't found one.
I'd appreciate any help or guidance anyone can supply.
Thanks,
Bob Pendleton
