Right now, I am playing a game where I have no access to iron at all. The countries that do have access to iron aren't connected to me because they don't have any harbor built yet.
I am thinking about waging a war to occupy the region that does contain iron. However, the region that does contain iron is too far away, making the military campaign too expensive. As well, the region with iron belong to a country that is just as powerful as I am.
In situation like this, is there any other way to gain access to iron or should I just attack?
