ReUsing Computer Generated Maps???

Is it possible to re-use a computer generated map and change the rules?
Like using the same map but changing from Regent difficulty to Diety difficulty?
Or using the same map but turning off diplomatic win or space race win?

Sometimes I play what I consider to be an excellent computer generated map but would like to change the difficulty or allowed methods of winning and replay from the beginning!

@Chillingworth: You can download one of the save game editors in which you can change the level of difficulty.

A good save-game editor is the Civ3 MultiTool by Gramphos. Go to the Creation and Customization forum and then to the Utility Programs sub-forum. The thread for the Civ3 Multi Tool should be near the top. The latest version will be posted in the first post because Gramphos always edits it in there.

You load up the Civ3 MultiTool and choose the Save Game Editor. Once this opens then go to File, and load the game you want, which will probably be the 4000BC auto save for this map you want to redo on a different level. Then under one of the tabs (I forget which ) is the option to adjust the difficulty level. Do so, and then save it.
