Revamp Timeline

Can they revamp the timeline? I don't believe it fulfills the marketing promises of telling our civ's stories at all since it only reflects gameplay elements and even then only some of them. Why isn't the start and ending of wars included?

Anyone else wish we could add or delete entries on the timeline and write our own immersive dialogue? I want to tell the story of the great Zulu-Chinese War of 1201 B.C and then when I return to this game months later I can re immerse myself in the game.

EDIT: Of course custom entries wouldn't affect era score.

Agreed! I actually play the game with a Word document in the background so I can log the major events in history that aren't recorded on the timeline. It started out as a way for me to keep track of promises and trade deals but I also started recording the starts and ends of wars just for fun (not just my wars, but also wars between other civs) - and the major disasters that happened around the world.

The gossip screen in the reports menu gives you a bit of a log, but it only tells you the turn of the event, not the year.

I'd like to write some notes to remind myself what I was supposed to be doing! But at least we have map pins now.
