While under depotism my cities are rapidly revolting, is there a way to turn citizens into specialist? The only thing that really worked was to fortify more units on the cityn and when i switched to a monarchy government my cities revolted even more! The only thing i can think is i needed more units in the city because i just built aqueducts and the cities sizes started rapidly increasing, any thoughts or help? I unfortunately do not have the manual.

Creating specialists (entertainers, taxmen, scientists) is of limited value in your situation since a city in civil disorder creates no value.

Otherwise, if you're building aqueducts and have having civil disorder problems, your cities are too large. The aqueduct is Civization's way of telling you to slow down. Before you can support level 10+ cities you need quite a bit of infrastructure. You're generally better off building as many small cities as you can effectively manage.

Thank you and i couldnt help but notice you said you can assign specialist. Is there anyway you could tell me how as i dont have the manual.

To assign specialists you will need to remove a resource tile. You should see an Elvis Presley looking guy appear next to your citizen count. Use the number keys 1-8 to change profession based on position.

I also misspoke in my previous spoke. Building entertainers will address civil disorder and, in fact, is what should be done here.

Thank you very much. This is so much help to me and 8 different specialist is quite a few. This game is becoming more and more complex but it make sense now.
