Does anyone know if the new civs will be more dominant than the old ones utilizing the new mechanics better?

They will certainly have some advantage, but some of the old civs also get updated bonuses in the expansion, so I don't think it will upset the balance too much. Some old civs may even rise to a better tier than where they currently stand (like Spain or America).
Also, the new civs don't look that overpowered to me, so I don't expect them to be dominant.

It depends on which new Civ you're talking about.
For example, Korea is OP( In fact I think it is 2-tiers weaker than Mongol), but Georgia seems just the blankest Civ I've ever seen...

Korea is likely OP (esp with that policy card doubling campus adjacency), otherwise the new civs seem balanced enough (though some seem UP also, like the Cree). Overall I would say the DLC civs are most potent, but some of the original civs will be interesting to see play out as well.

Yep only Korea looks OP, although a Mongol Knight/Keshig rush is going to be a scary sight.

Pretty much. Korea is Op because science is always king in Civ. We’ll see if they get nerfed.

Mongols and the other Civs will be fun, in any case. I don’t think any of them are particularly Op.

Just imagine Mongols spawn next to Scythia and capture her double horse horde. Maybe very situational OP but a scary sight indeed!

It definitely could happen in that situation.

Korea will probably 90% + of the time be the tech leader which is always dangerous. Especially at higher difficulty levels. We’ll see if the scientific emergency will actually do anything worthwhile.
