RFC: BtS Bug Reports

What is the conquer event? haven't played yet as the portugese. Is that the event you get a nice army (canon, knights pikeman and muskets) next door to the aztecs? Wich means the end of the aztecs btw. I think its a bit to strong.

And one more thing I noticed. If you think your computer is stuck at "Waiting for other civilizations", try to move your mouse and scroll around the map. I've found that if you can't scroll (you usually can't scroll in between turns), it means the machine is actually still processing the turn, whereas if you are able to scroll around, something has messed up and you shouldn't wait for it.

That's not necessarily true. On my BtS, I have freedom to roam during the turn transaction. The reason for why it takes so long for me is because the AI is NUKING MY CITIES!!!!!! :nuke: I can only roam during turn trasaction when nukes are falling, no other time. :goodjob:

not a bug - losing contact with distant empire is a feature of this mod

I have to admit, it's a tad annoying. I meet the same people 6 times in 5 turns.
I seem to get no where anywhere else, so I'll ask here. After I do a dynamic switch, and save the game and end the program, then reload the old game, it seems to be stuck in an infinite loop. This only has happened in RFC after a dynamic switch. Help please. (P.S. Rhye, we've talked via E-Mail before.)

As a Rome I conquered Netherlands spawn area and few turns after that I lost contact with them (I'm still at war, they haven't collapsed, they have 2 cities in South Africa (with capital) and 1 in South America. I wanted them as a vassal :( BTW: civ after having its spawn area should capitulate very easily. And after returning cities should have their capitals back in their Spawn area (my vassal- England have capital in New York- it protected them from losing that city to Americans ;) ).

I too am having a problem loading a game after switching from Greece to Russia.

I saw Independent conquerors two days ago as wel, after I had achiveed the first event and was trying to get the second one to spawn. No idea what variety they were - ex-Romans perhaps.

I'm having real problems figuring out the Conquerors event. It seems I have to meet them, then sail away and lose contact, then come back to generate a force, but it only works some of the time. On my current game, I've triggered only one event (Aztecs), and I couldn't seem to trigger the second one no matter how hard I tried, and I've given up on it now, and planted a city near the Inca.

Regards, Luke

Not sure if this is only a RFC bug. But I could build more than 1 interpol in my empire. I was playing a game as the turks. I was able to build 1 in europe, middle east and africa.

I Think I found a bug in RiseandFall.py

Here are 3 Lines

utils.setStability(iVikings, utils.getStability(iVikings) + 2)
utils.setStability(iChina, utils.getStability(iChina) + 4)
utils.setStability(iJapan, utils.getStability(iChina) + 6)

in the third line there is the BUG.
That´s the Problem withe the Japanese Empire. (I think it´s wron I don´t know it, I´m not a Pyton Programmer...)

Sorry for my bad English it´s not my First language

Edit:

I´ve changed this and uploaded the File to Rapidshare.
I´m not sure if this is allowed, but if not, please give me a sign
Before you Copy the File into your \Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization\Assets\Python Folder, save the Original File.

Bug: When the great library changes ownership, it adds 2 scientists. Once on the 600 start as Arabia I took Alexandria, lost it to natives, retook it and then had 8 free scientists. (It does the same on the other start regardless of who builds it.) Dunno if this has something to do with RFC or if it's just BtS...

Not Exactly a bug: a couple of times know, Independent has been the first to discover liberalism. Once, just after Portugal spawned.

More of an annoyance than anything: "Taoist leaders have a great vision..." as China builds the Apostolic Palace about 2/5 of the time.

Thonnas, I've had the indepedents discover the world is round before me (spain) which rather annoyed me! Also had them found Christainity a few times, rather nice since it gives me an easy city to take generally!

Is this a bug?

I'm playing RFC as "England" (intending to switch to USA eventually). Anyway, Ragnar the Viking declared war on me, but being the resident of the Apostolic Palace, I got to propose a resolution to "stop the war against England." Amazingly, all countries other than the Vikings voted NOT to stop the war, but Ragnar voted to stop the war. How is it possible that every country not involved in the war votes to continue, and the one country who declared war and WANTS TO STOP gets outvoted? Is this meant to work this way? Some Apostolic Council!

Enlighten me, please. :-)

Playing BtS 303 / RFC 107 as the Germans, I get the "waiting for other civilisations" bug on turn 316.

I can scroll the map, even enter Worldbuilder mode, the options menu and save the game, but there's no interaction with the map possible. (reloading the game loads it in the "waiting for other cicilisations" mode, going back a turn doesn't help either).

I thought this was going to be fixed in 303? Just thought I'd mention it because it seems it's not... sigh.
