RFC Europe Files

Actually SVN is not a file, but a file repository in the internet. Thus, constantly updating the mod is made easier when more than one people contribute.
FYI, the file including that data was the Consts.py file. Can be edited via any text editor.
 
I finally understood the RFCEMaps file without getting a headache, and how to mount the repository.

So, at last, corrected city names for Spain (the Canaries were moved since the names were last updated; there was no Milan, and also wrong tiles in the Netherlands, etc.)

A little bit of warmaps and settlermaps changes. Perhaps Italy won't be a hippie commune anymore. Also some nicer dynamic civ names related to Spain.

You don't just re-download the mod. You should connect to the svn (subversion) server and download the current work version of the mod.

@sedna17: perhaps we should make an Alpha 10b, with the fix for the Dutch and respawn (and perhaps the faith point on reformation, I don't know if it is in the last Alpha of if I fixed it afterwards).

OK, I found the svn through a Google search, and I DLed the most recent Consts.py file with the corrected start for the Dutch, and put it in to replace the faulty Consts.py file.
Now when I go to start the Dutch, the game crashes right when I press "go" to start, at the point when it should be starting to auto play...

Any ideas?

That is odd. Could you post a PythonErr.log file from My Games\Beyond the Sword\Logs, right after the crash.
 
I assume you only needed the last part... but here is my entire "PythonErr2.log"
There was no simple "PythonErr.log" in my system.

Also, not only does the Dutch not work, no civ can be started anymore. Not sure if that is important.
I could just go back to the Zipped download and wait to use the Dutch I suppose until the newest version of RFCE is out...
This mod is awesome work by the way guys. I love it!

If you ever feel like adding any new civs, like Norman Sicily or Romania, whoever, I would definitely be interested in helping with the coding.
 
You either didn't copy the right Const.py or you did not put it in the right place. Re-download and reinstall the mod and add this file to the RFCEurope\Assets\Python.

This worked... kind of...
The Dutch started in 1600 instead of 1580. Is there any small change I can make to fix that?
 
Just open Consts.py with the Editor and change the dutch spawn turn to 340. You can find the line under #civ birth dates.
 
1580 is year 340, not 350. ;)
 
The new mod doesn't launch correctly. I get the standard BTS starting screen with no option for playing RFCEurope? :confused:
Got it from here, right? What's wrong?

Edit: Sorry, I got it: I had to take the RFCE-folder out of the downloaded folder. But which .ini datas do I have to use?
