I got bored with it. I was going to go invade SE Asia, but it was really just getting too easy.
And I play with all the victory conditions off, so its kinda hard to win ;p
I think I posted the post industrialization one where I am basically the world's great power. I could pump out a colonial infantryman every two turns, and the world is paying me half of my GDP of 750ishGPT
Portugese game went brilliantly... until i made a MASSIVE blunder...
I neglected to build up a strong enough deterrant force, so the Spanish attacked. I beat them up handily (even two horse archers, used well, can beat an enemy horde ;p), but they brought in the French uuberpower, and it turned into a dogpile on me that resulted in a loss of my position as tech leader.
I have colonies all over the ivory coast, but I wasted too much time trying to keep a strong galley force (1 galley a turn from my two good cities, Lisbon and Oporto) to fight off the ever increasing number of Galleases.
I dont have enough power to force a peace, and I refuse to surrender cities... so I'm gonna start over some other time.
I think we could call this the Rhye's mod version of 5CC ;p
It IS possible, but you have to be a trader; I'm not sure how you warmongrels would handle it ;p
@Soma: After a week of inactivity, I declared it dead. I would be willing to start another one as the Dutch (or the Portugese) along the lines of the games I have been playing now. A conquest game like we played though... that was BORING!
