Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

I got bored with it. I was going to go invade SE Asia, but it was really just getting too easy.

And I play with all the victory conditions off, so its kinda hard to win ;p

I think I posted the post industrialization one where I am basically the world's great power. I could pump out a colonial infantryman every two turns, and the world is paying me half of my GDP of 750ishGPT

Portugese game went brilliantly... until i made a MASSIVE blunder...

I neglected to build up a strong enough deterrant force, so the Spanish attacked. I beat them up handily (even two horse archers, used well, can beat an enemy horde ;p), but they brought in the French uuberpower, and it turned into a dogpile on me that resulted in a loss of my position as tech leader.

I have colonies all over the ivory coast, but I wasted too much time trying to keep a strong galley force (1 galley a turn from my two good cities, Lisbon and Oporto) to fight off the ever increasing number of Galleases.

I dont have enough power to force a peace, and I refuse to surrender cities... so I'm gonna start over some other time.

I think we could call this the Rhye's mod version of 5CC ;p

It IS possible, but you have to be a trader; I'm not sure how you warmongrels would handle it ;p

@Soma: After a week of inactivity, I declared it dead. I would be willing to start another one as the Dutch (or the Portugese) along the lines of the games I have been playing now. A conquest game like we played though... that was BORING!

Having an AMAZING game as Portugal. I built just about every wonder in the early ages, and managed to get to the feudal age about 30 turns ahead of the computer.

Hey Rhye.... do you think you could make like an Industrial, Middle, and Future earth map, the same way you did this... that would be pretty cool

I had a virus and had to reboot my comp. I owned almost all of Africa possible as the Carthaginians. Except the west coast... damn portuguese.

I think that that is all he could mean... I mean, what else is there?

Has anyone else ever popped a city from a goodyhut, and then gotten 2 SGLs in a row? Its bloody amazing.

I had a game with the Incans when I popped a city and later got 2 SGL. I stopped playing as I had gotten too powerful and too large. By the time I met the Euros, I was already in the lead

Its lovely! It makes playing so much easier, since you can get, say, the Great Library and the Temple of Baal and just dominate scientifically ;p

I WAS working on something like that... but then I got carried away and it kinda turned into a major project.

You could always take it over if you wanted to.

@Rhye:

Could you possibly look at South East Asia again? This time not with the goal of putting a civ there, but simply to make it a little more attractive for colonization? Sooo much jungle, so little reason.

Portugal and Spain always lag behind in my games, whether I'm in Europe or not. Portugal is pretty goodabout colonizing Africa and a little of South America, but Spain rarely gets a city in edge-wise, if you take my meaning. Netherlands and Scandinavia do most of the settling of South America, which is fine.

I like eating Iberia for brunch (late Ancient/early Medieval)! :p

I haven't played Rise And Rule yet. Hey rhye, i was playing that WW2 Global mod... and the load times.... were insane. I have been playing your mod way too much... Do you think that you could make a ww2 global mod? With the small load times? Thats what i kinda meant by industrial, middle, and future eras.

If I recall correctly, WWII Global is the one made by Sarevok & Rocoteh, accurate as usual, insanely slow as usual. I wish I could play those scenarios.
There are some other WWII scenarios, but never tried.

If you look for other scenarios based on my map, there's The Cold War by ElJusto, that should be very fast as the map is 134x130 (smaller than the one used here in RoC). Otherwise Aeon221 is developing the Rise and Fall of the Spanish Empire or something like that.
I'm not making any scenarios. I have retired from modding.

I jsut played as the Mayans and had my Crusades against the AMercians going very well.....in the year 2026. Am i (and the AI) doing something wrong? Why was science sooooo slow?
Thanks!
