Fish.

Orginally posted at http://www.mydestiny.net/~lush/
George Bernard Shaw once pleaded for spelling reform.
To stress, he asked to take note of these pronunciations:
GH as in "rough"
O as in "women"
TI as in "nation"
.: GHOTI = "fish"

How about flowers?

How about flowers?

Flowers could survive outside of water. In fact, some require very little. So a flower could be on the ground out of the water and not have a problem with it. Fish, however, are a bit different.

Well i said they were dead, and they was water on the floor (from the bowl they were in) and glass (from the bowl)

Many flowers wouldn't survive without water, and certainly not without minerals they would get from them.

Beserker - If the flowers were in a glass vase filled with water you'd still have dead flowers on the floor with glass and water around them.

Also, how about marine mammals? Ohh, maybe it was a glass of water and a couple of mice fell into it, making it fall on the ground and dieing because of the fall? It could be so many things! :p

FINE! NEXT RIDDLE
1. I am a word of 5 letters, if you take away the first and last letters i will still sound the same even if you take the middle letter, i will be the same as before, what am I?
2.Who's bigger Mr Bigger, Mrs Bigger or their baby?

True, flowers can't survive without water or their minerals.

But, (getting technical here), if there was water on the floor, it stands to reason that this just happened. Within the last 10 to 30 mintues, depending on humiditiy, temperature, and various other local phenomenon. Takes longer to kill a flower than that. So while the could theoretically be flowers, probably they are not. Since the only type of living creature that would die before the water evaporated is most likely a fish, it stands to reason that they are fish.

Could people here focus on logic riddles rather than on word games? They're more interesting and some of the word games require a large vocabulary that none English speakers don't really have.

Here's a nice logic one:
Four convicts are trying to escape from prison. They have one torch between the four of them. They are trying to cross a bridge. They have seventeen minutes before they are caught. The torch is required to be with the crossers for the entire journey. Only two people can cross at the same time. One convict takes 10 minutes to cross, one takes 5 minutes, one 2, and one only 1 minute to cross. When two people cross at one time, only the slower's speed is used. How do all four manage to get across within seventeen minutes?
