You have an empty wine bottle with a cork secured at the top in the usual way. Inside the bottle a metal ring hangs suspended by a string. How is it possible to make the metal ring drop to the bottom of the bottle without touching the ring, the thread, the cork, or the bottle while leaving the cork in place and intact?

nock over the bottle. then the side becomes the bottle and the ring falls to it.
also there are alot of destructive ways of doing it: lasers that cut the bottle, etcera.

Sometimes long, & sometimes short. From bits of wood and bits of thought...

We are twins,
We are close together,
But we will not touch,
But far apart,
We become one.
What are we?

It has no top or bottom but it can hold flesh, bones and blood all at the same time.
What is it?

A little pool with two layers of wall around it.
One white and soft and the other dark and hard, amidst a light brown grassy lawn with an outline of a green grass.
What am I?

sorry if anyone's been sitting there scratching their bum wondering what the hell is made from wood and thought that can have you in and out of it while sitting in their hand!

Well as I said it's very easy. It's a hand puppet. It's made out of wood, you can be in and out with your hand and when you create a puppet you have to think how will it look like, etc...so it's made of wood and thought and of course you can hold it in your hand too.

Well even if it where two different riddles I solved both at the same time. Am I great or what

Hmm. People get bored of those riddles so soon? Ahh well. Here's something new.

Two vertical 750 ft posts have a 1000 ft rope stretched between their topmost points. The rope sags to within 250 ft from the ground. How far apart are the posts?

There are 2 ducks in front of 2 other ducks.
There are 2 ducks behind 2 other ducks.
There are 2 ducks beside 2 other ducks.
How many ducks are there?

Late afternoons I often bathe.
I'll soak in water piping hot.
My essence goes through my see through clothes.
Used up am I; I've gone to pot.
What am I?
