How Tiffany Shepherd, teacher, became Leah Lust, porn star

A Florida biology teacher fired after bikini pictures surfaced reportedly made a reluctant career change

Tiffany Shepherd sent out 2,500 resumes, said Palm Beach, Fla., Post columnist Jose Lambiet in Page 2 Live, but nobody seemed interested in hiring a former high-school teacher who was fired last year after photos surfaced of her moonlighting, wearing a skimpy bikini, on a fishing charter boat. So the unemployed 31-year-old biology teacher transformed herself into Leah Lust, porn star, and started performing in videos like My First Sex Teacher.

It doesn't sound like Tiffany Shepherd is happy about her "new career" as the star of Leah Lust videos, said Eitan Gavish in the New York Daily News. "I'm not particularly proud of it. To be honest, I hate it," she told Page 2 Live. Apparently it was a charter boat captain—who happened to own a porn Web-cam business, too—who convinced her she'd never get her old job at Port St. Lucie High School back, so she needed to cash in on her beauty while she could.

Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy, said Tim Worstall in Examiner.com. Tiffany Shepherd will never get her old job back now. "The tragedy here is that the reaction to Tiffany Shepherd doing something almost entirely innocent, fishing in a bikini, has led to her being forced (by her account) into hard core porn and Leah Lust videos."

way to go, that surely taught her to show her breasts never again...

Teachers have privacy..Why did they fire her? :D

I'm not sure I understand the term correctly: Moonlighting means holding a second job? If so, doing that and not informing your first employer is perfect resonable grounds for firing.

Well, but it doesn't say she was fired for moonlighting and that she hadn't notified the school of her second job.
The story implies she was fired because she was wearing a 'skimpy bikini' - a deadly sin for an American school teacher, right?

If true, it's absolutely ridiculous. If she taught her class wearing a skimpy bikini, OK, you could feel it's inappropriate, but on a charter boat? Whose business is that??

true that, that's why I wrote I'm not sure if I understood correctly. I couldn't see where the moral aspect (wearing a bikini, how immoral) would enter it...

upon rereading the story, my original statement seems to be exagerrated too. It seems that she wasn't really having a second job but just had a few photos taken of her for said charter as a side income, probably hardly enough to warrant a firing (In my job I'm allowed to earn up to 25000.-- anually aside from my job without reporting it, for instance)

Pics or it didn't happen.

There is too little information and too much hype in this article. What was this moonlighting job which required wearing "skimpy bikini"? And why do not she tried to find herself some parttime or less classy job instead of becoming porn star?

I think we can say that she probably was driven out of her profession (teaching that is). But it would be a bit of a stretch to conclude that she was driven to hard core porn...

But still, if she was 'only' driven out of her profession, I think it's exceedingly silly...

and there's another thing: what do you think would have happend if she were a guy posing in swimming trunks for said charter company?

This is old news and we probably had a thread on it before. She wasn't fired because of any bikini photos she was fired because she didn't show up to work.

Obviously, nothing. Who will buy an erotic magazine with photos of some unknown guy in swimming trunks?
who would buy an erotic magazine where the women still wear bikinis ;)

From what I gather the pictures were for a fishing charter. Sounds perfectly harmless to me.

From what I heard, it was the 30 unexcused absences from her job as a teacher that did her in, not her bikini. Not as interesting a story, I'm afraid, but it has the advantage of being true.

 ok, unexcused absences are boring, young women in bikinis aren't ;)

B- must try harder.

There is a pic of her in a bikini if you click the link.

Joke =/ Link :mischief:

I do love how the liberul media focuses on the fact that she was in a bikini, and thus Puritan attitudes cowst her, her job.
I think it's interesting that the most benign of activities is punished, yet New York City schoolteachers accused of sexually molesting students are simply transferred to buildings in the school district where no children are present.
