RiFE: Middle Earth map [playtesting]

I am posting here to say that I am going to continue heavy modding pretty soon. Today I've taken my first exam (out of three) and I will have a break closer to weekend.

I would like to begin by saying that the map is Awesome and i'm glad your doing it. I do however have a problem.....whenever I try selecting any other empire besides the Free Peoples the game immediately crashes. Your thoughts and instructions would be welcome.

Is the Modular Loading on? Anyway I am making a full mod right now, so it has to wait .

If you place the module on its place and start it as a scenario and the module is loaded (check civilopedia for new races) it should work.

I had to register to Civfanatics just to subscribe to all the threads I could find about RifME. Thumbs up, this looks really well done so far!

Being somewhat a Tolkien fan I immediately tried to dl this and see what's in already, but I stumbled into the same problem as jasonjay77. RifME kind of loads, as I can see all the new civs in civilopedia, and I can even open their pedia entry, but the game crashes when I move cursor on top of the leader head. And when starting the scenario, choosing any of the new races immediately crashes the game when I click the civ.

Dunno about installing, I just extracted the .rar into ...\Rise from Erebus\, and it kinda formed sensible looking folder structure. No idea about Modular loading or anything fancy stuff (I'm pretty new here )

Anyway, if I get this to work, I'd be more than happy to comment and give some ideas.

Actually I would ask to wait for me to make an alpha release of the mod. I stopped to develop the scenario because I thought that the mod would be better and it would allow others to make as many scenarios as they want .

hi everyone. This is my first post,first i want to thanks all the modders who allowed me to play so many interesting games. Thanks a lot.

but if i post here my new post, it s because i don t know how to mod and i was looking during long time a scenario or mod for lotr.

Yesterday i found one, this one, which seems to work. Incredible, i m so happy, this night i won t sleep, great....

but it doesn t work. I got the same problem as jasonjay77 and Shandorin.

The games works only if i choose the free people, if i choose another one it crashes.
During the Rife loading, i got a error message,
"Tag/ERA_ORDER in Info class was incorrect. Current XML files is: modules\NormalModules_MEM_CIV4LeaderHeadInfos.xml"
and again with ERA_LEAF in info .....etc...etc...

so if anyone can tell me what to do ???
Deon helps me a little by saying place the module on its place.......( which one ? )

Cause the free peolple are nice but i would try as the gondor or another one.

I can t do anything. I tried to save the world in the worldbuilder, then start again this save as scenario, but no way, it continues to crasch if i change the civ.

I ask some help please.
