Rise and Fall Predictions and Things to Look Forward To

I look forward to the Timeline feature.

It definitely seems like it'll turn out to be one of the best features in terms of immersion. If it's accessible to modding, I think the timeline will be even better. I hope it also marks "dark events" like losing a city or going into dark ages.

With modding, it would be interesting if era points can be lost. Sometimes, going to a Dark Age can be advantageous.

Lautaro of the Mapuche can defeat units belonging to Golden Age civs more effectively for example.

My predictions:
  • Netherlands to be the most loved civ, if not the most played. Because polders! Cree, Scotland, and Georgia will be enjoyable as well.
  • Russia to be the most used vanilla civ just to try St Basil + ASRS

There are some spots that can have both Petra *and* Basils.

That should be an achievement.

I am curious about diplomacy. After some time almost everybody hates me from one reason or another. I want to see how alliances will work in the world of hate and lack of trust ;-)

Government Plaza for sure. I like the idea of it being a district you can only build once, and how it's tied to your Government through the Legacy Policy Cards. But unlike most Governments, it actually offers bonuses which are interesting and impact the game in significant ways.

I forgot one more thing I'm looking forward to: playing as Egypt and going on a wonder building spree, now enhanced with a series of new wonders :D I'm a little biased towards Egypt, so having the extra alliance bonuses will be sweet too. Combining her trade route bonuses with the alliance bonuses and the new governors will be sweet!
