This game got extremely cheap, extremely fast it seems like. I have been staring at it forever but afraid to waste the money. Anyone know if this game is any good? Or played it yet? Even seen it played?

Not sure how many replies this will get but figured it was worth a try. ;)

First person hero is a unique feature but unrealistic. Soldiers die with taps. It's like your hero all of a sudden becomes the Antonio Banderas in Desperdo. AI does not use this feature effectively either so they are even more at a disadvantage. I just had a serious problem with your hero becoming in this mode and no soldier has a chance against you.

With that said I think it still has decent gameplay. The sides are relatively unique.

One thing that's great however is the implementation of ship battles in that you can have fight ON the ship because a ship is like a floating platform. Your infantry are actually visible on top of the deck.

I played the Demo and was mightily dissapointed. It was boring and repitive, and the Hero was just too powerful.

Ah, I am going to bet that it sucks then. :p :)

I saw it when it came out and said "Hey, woohoo another strategy title." But never had the money to spend on it. Then like a month later it seemed it dropped 10 bucks. Then the next month it was at like 20 bucks off. SO I started wondering.

Thanks for the replies guys. I might try out the demo and see what it has to offer. But I am not all that hyped about messing with that anytime soon atm. Thanks again. :)

Well to be fair, yes it is disappointing for 40-49 bucks that it was going for during the release but now that it is 19.99 (from the stores I go to), it may be worth it.
It's not that bad. I would buy it for 19.99 just that I've bought BFME2 instead and coming expansion (get those instead if you're open to new options). I think the best critique of the game is that it doesn't offer a lot of new things and the new things that are in the game could have been done better. I am usually very picky about the games I play but I will still say that for 19.99, this is a decent pick up.

The problem with this scenario is that support for the game probably got discontinued because of low interest. It's a good idea to search other forums to make sure there still aren't any game-killing bugs remaining.
