Rise of Mankind vs A New Dawn?

I know AND is the successor to RoM, but which in everyone's opinion is the best for someone who's never played either? What are the major things that AND adds? And most importantly, which is the most stable, bug-free and 'complete'? Any suggestions for which version? A lot of questions I know, but I've literally never played any of these mods despite playing Civ 4 for years. Thanks a lot!

i am also looking for a mod to pick up and cant really decide wich one is the most stable and fluid to play
