RK-01 First Strike First (Warlords)

It's not only going well, at this rate, apparently no one can stop us from winning this one now. Except Roosevelt. Once Roosevelt is gone, (insert home TV shopping product brand here) cleanup is a breeze.

I pick this one up?
I have more then time enough atm.
I'll play 15 and then let Codeman play ?

if all goes well i could play in 12-13 hours. let you know more later. i've gotta train a couple new supervisors, take over a class for a couple hours, and half a dozen interviews. so depending on how quick things go i could be home early. :)

Ok, I've played my turns, and Monte is as good as dead :D.

Pre: All looks good, i'll be invading Monte it seems.

T2: York: Forge -> Catapult
Bibactre: Missionary -> Missionary
Camu..: Work Boat -> Barracks

T4: Vienne: Market -> Crossbowman
I move our forces in Montezuma's territory, Roosevelt is allready at war with him, so I don't bother to ask Hatty.

T5: Bombard Tlaxcala and kill a Jaguar.

T6: We lose a crossbow to a Chariot :mad:
Sakae: Forge -> Archer
Kill that evil chariot :D
We pop that Great Prophet in London, I decide to fortify him.

T14: Civil service comes in, Swap to bureaucracy
Pick Engineering next
Nottingham: Forge -> Crossbowman

T15: Lots of Monteuma's close to us (2 Chariot/1 Jaguar/ 1 Axeman)

We can make peace with Montezuma for all his gold (280), might be a good idea, with the money we can upgrade our archers to Crosbowman and then attack Montezuma again.
Don't forget to use the Prophet in London
It might be time to switch to Theocracy and Hinduism, all our cities except Sakae and our new Cities have Hinuism as a religion.

Good luck on your turnset Codeman, You shoudn't have any problems ;).

if yall want to skip that's cool. will not able to get home for a couple hours still. :( gotta work late.

Well, I won't be playing anyway 1 am here, so take your time and play in a couple of hours. :)

okay. home now. got it and will play now. kind of a long day so will only play ten then spend time with family. sorry, no pics this time as i am trying to hurry so i can play with my daughter.

No problem, i'll most likely pick it up after you've played and throw in 15 turns, sicne Robo can't play anyway :).

I don't recommend peace, however. We probably have enough troops to finish the job as we lost only a crossbow and 2 cats.

Yeah, go ahead and pick up the game again. I wonder what sort of empire will greet me when I get home?

A big one ^^, we can keep the pressure on Monteuma, but we could just also use the extra money we can get, i'll see what Codeman did :)

1. as discussed get peace with monty for all his gold
2. bibracte missionary>missionary – send to sakae (4turns)//sakae crossbow>cat///workers>roads and cottages and remove some jungle//sending healed units to SOD in the N in prep for monty

okay, it’s on you guys now.

edit- now i see you did not want peace after all. to late. did not have discussion about how wanted to use GP so left him be. it's now a nice SOD. have fun. :)

'Got it'
Doenst matter that peace, it gave us some good money.
I'll play now :)

I've played 20 turns to make up for Codemans lack of 5.
A lot happened during my turnset, but Robo might have a rough ride the next few turns.

T15: Bibactre: Missionary -> Missionary
I merge another Great General with York (Total of +4 XP)

T16: Tlatelolco: Barracks -> Courthouse

T17: I convert to Hinduism

T18: Adopt Theocracy

T20: Need to drop science to 30%

General Ideas/Suggestions:
1. Monte most likely has an island city, doens't matter.
2. Our new target is Roosevelt, he has a lot of units, i'm gathering a stack in the south near boston, our main stack is at new york, if we can attack him from those 2 sides he will be down quick. Most of his units are promoted units of during the war with Monteuma, so if you attack watch out.
3. When Fuedalism comes in adopt Vassalage, it will cut some of our unit costs and York will be able to produce 11 XP units :goodjob: .
4. We need courthouses in our new cities badly, you might consider whipping them.
5. Good luck against Roosevelt Robo Kai :king:

There's one problem with Vassalage though, we will lose Bureaucracy.
But yeah, we have a multitude of archers, we might as well.

Also we getting poorer by the minute. More builder turns :lol:

yeah we'll lose Bureacracy but with the added XP will be able to take more cities and generate money that way. After Roosevelt is Gone we really ned to work infrastructure.

Great Prophet... uh... save it for a Golden Age?

Turn 0
Monty's boats are everywhere (one near a sea resouce), so sue for peace, for free unfortunately.
Whip Archer at Texcoco since it's starving anyway
Teotihuacan: Archer (delay) -> Courthouse
Tenochtitlan: Archer (delay) -> Courthouse
Tlaxcala: Lighthouse (delay) -> Courthouse
I micro London to save it from hunger

Turn 1
London: Treb -> Aqueduct
Sakae: Crossbow -> Hindu Monastery
Vienne: Archer -> Worker
Texcoco: Archer -> Courthouse
Move workers to untapped wine near Vienne.
Looks like Roosevelt's sending stacks somewhere. can't bring Roosy to attack anyone so far.

(see attachment)

Turn 2
Nottingham: Treb -> Hindu Monastery
Move troops out of neutral terriory near Roosevelt to save money
Wait for Roosevelt's troops to head west to pursue unknown targets (probably Zulu or Mongolia)

Turn 3
Bibracte: Hindu Missionary -> Market

Turn 4
York: Crossbow -> Heroic Epic (I think we have enough troops for now)
Tolosa: Library -> Market
York Crossbow move to Tlaxcala (someone might sneak attack us there from Egypt, particularly Roosevelt)
Coco Chanel (Great Merchant) is born in Bibracte
PAUSE!

OPTIONS..
1. We can have a Golden Age now.
2. Or we can discover Paper with the GM. And research part of Divine Right with the GP.
3. Or we can send the GM to Hatty's largest city (Heliopolis) for money, plus build the Christian holy city (13% of the world) also for money.

also...
I think we should attack Egypt first. Hatty has almost no updated troops and will be easy picklings compared to Roosevelt's horde of War Elephants and Horse Archers (immune to first strike). I'd get Grenadiers first before taking on an army like that. (research path: Feudalism -> Guilds -> Banking since we neeeed the money -> Gunpowder -> Chemistry)

All options seem quite good.
Golden Age will give us a boost in Money and Production which will allow us to get some decent army.
Paper can give us some maps to discover the world further.
And the GM to that city also nets us a bag of money.
I'd prefer number 3, it'll allow us to run high science for some time with a deficit.
Ok, on attacking Hatty first.

Turn 5
Sakae: Hindu Monastery -> Buddhist Monastery
Built Church of the Nativity at York.
Now +24gpt at 30% science
Raise science temporarily to 100% to get Feudalism in 1 turn
Coco Chanel begins pilgrimage toward Heliopolis, ETA: 4 turns
Begin moving Stacks of Doom. Bigger one to Tlatelcoco. Smaller one to the border of Pi-Rameses.

Turn 6
Now +20gpt at 30% science
Research: Feudalism -> Guilds
I'm really rethinking Vassalage now. We turned London into cottage spam heaven, so it produces a ton of commerce (76 with Bureaucracy) and I'd hate to lose 1/3 of it just to support more troops.

RK1-4-0.JPG

Turn 7
London: Aqueduct -> Crossbow
Whip Camuldonum for 2 population
Whip Tlaxcala for 2 population
Hinduism spreads to Texcoco via missionary

Turn 8
Roosevelt demands Civil Service. Heh. Come on, don't cry...

RK1-4-1.JPG

Shaka declares war on the missing Montezuma
Camuldonum, Tlaxcala: Courthouse -> Lighthouse
Whip Teotihuacan for 2 population
Coco Chanel builds the fashion empire at Heliopolis, netting us 1650 gold

RK1-cocochanel.JPG

Turn 9
Nottingham: Hindu Monastery -> Buddhist Monastery
Teotihuacan: Crossbow <- Courthouse
Aztecs have been eliminated
Whip Tlatelcoco for 2 population

Turn 10 (1436AD)
Genghis Khan, are you out of your mind?

youmustbejoking.JPG

London: Crossbow -> Sistine Chapel
Sakae: Buddhist Monastery -> Trebuchet
Tlatelcoco: Courthouse -> Forge (maybe change it to military?)

I really suggest cutting down to 10 turns now. Empire is biiiiiigggg.
War hasn't started by the way, feel free to start it in your turn.
I propose chain farming to York to help population growth there.

RK1-4-SOD1.JPG

The other stack of doom ready to head for Thebes

RK1-4-SOD2.JPG

As you can see, our war machine is ready to go, but our economy isn't that great. I suggest building the Forbidden palace...

Option 1. grabbing Thebes and building a Forbidden Palace there
Option 2. build the forbidden palace at York, then build a palace at Thebes

edit:
...AND, later, Guilds -> Banking. We need grocers and banksStock Exchanges at London, York and Bibracte soon.

AND, THE SAVE:

loudkiddingtonho3.jpg

Oh yeah, one more thing... we have a lot of religious buildings PLUS stone, so I'd like to see the Spiral Minaret and Sankore Univ. built...
