AND... (drum roll please)
THE SAVE: http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/73311/RK-01_AD-0635.CivWarlordsSave

I didn't revolt to Theocracy yet because we need to spread ChristianityHinduism a bit before it will become useful.

I love this game... seeing all those first strike units gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. :lol:

EDIT: religion changed

things are looking nice. glad to see we were able to keep the finicial power of discovering a religion out of the ai's grasp.

i too think feud may not have been the best path to choose. not bad though.

what pecerntage of the world is following hinduism? i ask because we really need to leverage the finicial power of the shrine (of course we gotta build it first!).we don't have switch to it or spread the religion ourselves. build the shrine and let the religion spread itself while we profit. when we need to just fill a build, missionary.

RK1-3-3.JPG

Surprisingly, Christianity and Hinduism are equal. But fortunately, Brennus has already built the Kashi Vishwanath. I guess we're stuck with Hinduism then.

Note that Tao is 0%. Why? Only Roosevelt has Philosophy and Tao is not on any of his cities. Guess raging barbs wiped out the holy city. :lol:

guess one spreads as easily as another. mow many cities do have with no religion?

guess we got some work ahead of us. are we currently in organized religion?

Right, so we need to get some missionaries out and spread Hunduism to all our cities.
Continue to take out Brennus, and htne regroup and go for Monte?
Codeman will you pick up our can I ?

you go ahead. mondays are busy days at the office and i will probably work late today. client coming in this week. i can still hit the boards, just not enough time for playin' turns.

I've played my 15 turns.
They went fairly well, we got out GPT under control and we are ready to take out the next enemy.

T1: I don't attack orgovia, because another Axe has been added to it's defense, instead i move some additional forces to the other side of the city.

T2: Troops arrive, but can't attack yet offcourse.

T3:
Attack on Gorgovia

- Catapult dies to Axeman
- Catapult dies to Axeman
- Archer kills Axeman
- Archer kills Axeman

We take the city and I move all remaning units towards the last one of Brennus cities.

T4: London: Catapult -> Catapult
Montezuma makes peace with Hatsepsut, Montezuma will die anyway soon enough.
Last city of Brennus has only 1 Archer as defense, this will be easy.

T5: Bibactre: Archer -> Barracks

T6: Shaka asks for mathematics in exchange for 20 Gold, I say NO!
Sakae: Market -> Courthouse

T7: I keep bombarding Brennus his last city, those catapult aren't quick to get there :)

T8: Brennus offers peace for 20 Gold, no can do, srry :)

T9: Metal Casting comes in, Machinery next up.
London: Catapult -> Catapult
Attack on Comulondunum

- Cat dies to archer
- Archer kills Archer

Well, that was an easy victory, we take the city, and kep it (It has fishes :goodjob: )

Brennus is now dead, I move our stack to Sakae, next target Montezuma :scan: .

T10: Bibactre: Barracks -> Courthouse
Whip Courthouse in Tolosa
Whip Courthouse in York

T11: York: Courthouse -> Catapult
Tolosa: Courthouse -> Barracks

T12: London: Catapult -> Courthouse
Vienne: Courthouse -> Market

T13: Nottingham: Courthouse -> Market
Whip Courthouse in Sakae

T14: Sakae: Courthouse -> Catapult

T15: Roosevelt gives Fish for Rice, I accept.

Some general ideas/suggestions:

1. We still have the great leader fortified in York, Maybe we should decide what to do with him.
2. Hindu holy city should build Monastary after courthouse, and start spreading Hinduism, when enough ciites are Hinduism, convert to Theocracy (and get Hinduism as state religion).
3. Once the entire stack is in Sakae, look wether Roosevalt and/or Hatty wants to declare on Monte, if they want to, let them and attack Monte too.
4. We are running -6 GPT @ 50% science, so we are cool, once we get some more markets/courthouses up we can increase science.
5. I normally don't whip courthouses, but it was just the easiest way to get that maintenance down, so we can keep fighting.
6. Long term gameplan?
I suggest after Monteuma, start attacking Washington, he has some techs we need and we can get them if we take some of his cities and make peace, when that deals expires just wipe him out.

P.S.: srry that I don't post screenshots, but i'm on smallband, so it takes way to long to upload them.

Long term game plan? Er... hmm...
1a. rebuild economy, probable target would be profit at 60-70% Science
1b. spread hinduism for money and theocracy as planned
1c. upgrade/build crossbows
1d. hopefully we should get trebuchets to replace catapults soon
2. get monarchy and feudalism, from hatty or roosvelt
3. destroy monte
4. destroy roosevelt
5. destroy zulu

Not too hard...

I think we should make the great general into a +2xp military specialist at York.
We should probably whip the courthouses at the newly captured cities since they're farther from London and will save the most money while keeping the population at our more improved older cities.

Population regrows quickly enough, I was planning to whip those courthouses in further cities, but my turnset ended :p

Trebuchets aren't too important, Catapult kill everything allrdy, only when the AI start getting to much Longbows we'd need Trebs :)

We're almost to machinery, so engineering isn't too far. All the better, trebs will totally destroy them when they don't have longbows. Heh heh heh.

At work now, so will play in... 10-11 hours.

I bet your playing.
btw Robo, next Succesion game with a Aggressive civ and only built only units that get Aggressive promotion? :p

"Our weather forecast for today... there will be thunderstorms and possible rain, so you will be stuck at home twiddling your thumbs. Or playing Civ4 for fifteen turns doing nothing but moving workers around... well, almost nothing."

Turn 0 (890 AD)
Likely to be :hammer: turns again
General becomes military instructor at York

Turn 1
Roosevelt offers his Calendar for our Construction + 100gold. No.
York: Catapult -> Forge
Notice we have an experienced archer at York, move it to stack of doom, replace it with two 3 exp archers.

Turn 4
Sakae: Captapult -> Forge
Move some extra defenders to Tolosa
Bibracte: Courthouse -> Hindu Monastery
Bibracte: Wreck a cottage to farm it, to irrigate the ricefield once we get Civil Service

Turn 7
Monty demands deal cancellation. Sorry, Egypt has been nicer to us.

Turn 9
London: Courthouse -> Forge
Wreck an undeveloped cottage near Sakae to farm

Turn 10
Research: Machinery -> Civil Service
Roosevelt has built Chichen Itza

Turn 11
Trade Code of Laws to Hatty for Calendar
Export cow to Hatty for 2gpt
Sell Monotheism to Shaka for 100 gold
Sell Monotheism to Genghis Khan for 130 gold

Turn 12
Bibracte: Hindu Monastery -> Hindu Missionary
London unhappy, but will be OK once plantations are built
Start plantations on Dye and Incense

Turn 13
Roosevelt has Hanging Gardens
Upgrade one archer in Stack of Doom to Crossbow
Upgrade one archer in Tolosa to Crossbow

Turn 14
Nottingham: Market -> Forge

Turn 15 (1106 AD)
:hammer:

Booooring. Maybe you can take one of Monty's cities for gold to upgrade our archers. I don't want to switch to Hindu yet until we have 4-5 cities under it since switching to it will probably result in a world war against us.

Try gifting Hatty techs to have her declare on Monty or Roosevelt.

Try to make that 15/20 archer reach level 5 or even 6 for our National Epic and future West Point.

Now at +4 gpt on 50% science.

Stacks of Doom:

That's too easy. Oh wait, since all Aggressive is too easy, how about no catapults? Next game will probably be Monarch at least. Mass catapults vs Prince and I don't even break a sweat. :lol:
Nah, there must be something better, more unique and more exciting... but there's already a Viking game here. We'll wait for it to pass. Anyway, the first Warlords GOTM is around the corner, so I'll be busy.
