This can be used as either a tutorial or as a tough challenge. In 4000BC, the Romans already have established a 35-city empire on the largest island in the north. They have completed their road network. They have built the Great Library, Temple of Artemis, the Pyramids, Sun Tzu's War College and the Forbidden Palace.

The Romans have at least a couple of every (non-luxury) Resource too, so they'll never HAVE to conquer foreign lands to build a particular unit.

Up to seven rival Civs are scattered on the remaining islands, ripe for your Conquest. Or play as a standard Civ and try to contain the menace of the ridiculously over-powered Roman Empire.

Seems rather masochistic... ;)

Or Sadistic, if you play the Romans. :)

I put it together to play around with idealized city placement, then thought it could be a fun "toy" scenario. If you play the Romans you'll have an overwhelming advantage even on Sid level. If you play another Civ you'll have your work cut out for you.

Nice idea for a really challenging game.A suggestion to make it even more difficult...we all know the problem with AI and naval invasions.Increasing the capacity of transports makes it possible for the AI to land enough troops for a dangerous assault - so you have to beware of the Romans if you play one of the other civs, because you cannot be sure anymore the water protects you...

I've never seen the Ai fill a transport with more than 3 units.

I agree, they still often don't use the extra space, but I defintly saw AI transports unloading 20+ units at on time...
