Would you spring for a new Civ3 expansion pack?

With the news of Civ3 Complete coming out, I began wondering if they would put any new material with it. I doubt they do, but I would definately buy a new XP if they put one out. The problem is, there isn't any room for more civilizations, which is always a major marketing point.

Still, I think it would sell. I would buy it for the new Conquests alone, and the Epic game could always use some more stuff.

Also, the modders among us(including myself) always drool over some bonus unit art, or any extra art in general. They could give us a few unit packs, like the ones from PTW.

Anyway, would you buy another Civ3 expansion pack? What would you want it to feature?

No game in the history of gaming has ever been more valuable to me. If you work out my expenses on this game vs the hours of entertainment it has given me, it would be pennies, I think. To balk at spending $30 for an expansion would be selfish of me. I will own any title in this franchise.

I agree there are many things that could be added besides new civs.

Yeah, it isn't like Civ IV is 'just around the corner'. It'll be quite awhile before it comes out. Plenty of time for a new expansion pack. I'd definitely buy one, even though there probably wouldn't be any new civs in it. If they did release one, I'd especially like to see new scenarios (maybe even some that don't focus so much on conquest) and generic leaderheads for each culture group. By which I mean, era-specific 3D animated leaderheads just like the ones they've made, but which aren't meant to represent anyone in particular. The purpose being for modpacks and scenarios, of course.

I wouldn't buy a new expansion pack. Civ IV is coming out in a while.

Possibly a front end interface to allow for the player to substitute additional tribes into the system without using the editor. Then adding 5-6 new tribes would be create new demand for the XP. It would help if they added 2-3 techs per age with 1-2 generic units per age to improve the marketability.

Each XP has added about 6 tribes (with their UU) and a couple of generic units, plus a couple of new Techs & Wonders. If a 3rd XP did the same and was advertised as well as C3C, it would do as we C3C.

There are a lot of great ideas for new techs/wonders/unit/tribes in the Creations Forum. A new XP doesn't need to be a whole new game, just new things added to the one we all love to play.

Since C:IV won't come out for at elast another year and a half or so, I'd buy it.

There's no "probably" answer.
Seeing that I'd have to know what was going on in it. Even if they just shoved a couple of new civ's in and maybe a building or wonder or two in it.

So, yes I dare say I am that sad.

Even if it doesn't significantly improve on the previous expansions? I doubt I would buy any third expansion since I didn't bother to get PTW.

I doubt I would buy it since I avoided buying PTW and instead waited for C3C so I'm sure I could wait until Civ4 came out...

Hmm, where's the radioactive monkey option?

I can't say definitively yes or no. All I can say is it would depend on what kind of value I felt I was getting. A couple scenarios that I won't play? No, thanks. A couple new civs, or even a few new (good) units. Probably.

Since everyone seems to waffling on about it...let's say you get content comparable to Conquests. 9 or 10 new conquests with new units and whatnot, 8 new civs(though they'd be limited to conquests, like Austria), new music, and some tweaks and additions here and there.

BTW, did 1.22 fix the submarine bug?

As long as existing bugs are not fixed, I would rather support a good final patch.

No more Expansion - Civ4 is already in developement, this is a fact. The question is due to this VERY hypothetical.
