I am wondering why sometimes when I make a right of passage agreement it lasts for the appointed 20 turns, but other times it lasts forever? There also seems to be no way of cancelling the agreement if it does last over 20 turns. Or am I missing something?
I have c3c latest version. Any help appreciated.

Some civs end it after 20 turns
but when you have a good relationship with a civ, they will let it continue.
at that time, you can end it with them at any time.
same thing goes for any other agreements.

In the setup at the beginning of the game you can check "always renegotiate" which will make all your trades, treaties, etc. show up for renegotiation when they end. For now, go to the Dipolomacy screen and click on "Active". The number after a deal is the number of turns remaining. No number meants the 20 turns are up and you can end it.
