Do onagers run out of ammo? Why after attacking the wall for a while it stopped firing and when I mouse over the wall, it says "this unit cannot attack wall/tower"?

Unless you have the unlimited ammo option on all ranged troops/siege run out of ammo.

Wow, come on... That seems like a pretty obvious question. No offense, but try to use a little more observation before asking things like that.

It seems that responding with an useless post like this one would further drain the little mental resource you have. May god have mercy on your soul and keep your month shut when it is supposed to be shut.

I would say my post is anything but useless. I was simply reminding you to be a slightest bit more speculative when playing... You may not appreciate the comment but it is truth.:crazyeye:

There is an ammo meter on the unit card.

Also there are buildings you simply cannot target with your siege waepons. Don't ask me why, TCA decided it was a good idea I guess?
But you can order your onagers to 'attack ground' with fire ammunition on those locations. Requires more MMing but is good for jollies when you want to cause a firestorm and are feeling bored.

Interesting, I didn't know you could attack ground not that I haven't always wanted. So, how do you do this?

Literally just target the onager/ballista at the ground & click :D

As far as I know it only works inside settlements, for burning buildings and such, but I could be wrong.

You can attack anything in RTW, except trees.

Anyway, the reason it said that, OP, is that once an artillery unit runs out of ammo, its default becomes to physically attack it, so your men will run out there and attack it. Infantry cannot attack walls. Thus, if your artillery was unable to attack the walls, it is because it was out of ammo, and the game was trying to tell the gunners to attack the wall, which they cannot.

He has a valid point. You don't need to ask a question like this on a forum when it would take 5 seconds of research on your behalf.
