I want to have a disk image for Civ (specifically BTS) so that every time I play it I don't have to insert the CD, so I tried using disk utility to make a disk image, but the game wouldn't recognize it. Does anyone know of a way to make one that will be recognized?

i don't know if this will work:
A work around for this is to convert your .dmg into a .cdr here's how

double click on your .dmg file to mount it
open a terminal window
[type in this command and enter your admin password]
sudo hdiutil create -attach -fs UDF -format UDTO -volname NewName -srcfolder /Volumes/CurrentVolume/ BrandNewImageName

i haven't tried any of this, so be very careful. you will need to change BrandNewImageName to something else.

I tried using .cdr and .iso, but neither worked

Has anyone figured out if it is possible to get BtS to run off of a disk image on a Mac? Above doesn't seem to work. I tried Badhron's original method with default choices in Disk Utility for creating the image and it didn't work. I didn't try z0wb13's suggestion, but Badhron didn't seem to get it to work. (Yes, I know you can run w/o disk if you use the Steam version.)

It didn't work for me last time I tried it.
