Saharan desertification mod-scenario

Sounds cool :)

Maybe you should include the Arabian desert in this too, since even when Rome spawns it is an un-productive box of sand. In Babylonian days, there were more plains, but desertification has since taken place.

Or maybe you could even make Spain have more grasslands, but they will turn to plains as time goes on.
Yeah, this is totally doable. But I think I'll just let someone else do the rest of the map, at least for now. :p
 
I've updated this mod-mod and the new edition is available from the original post. Changes include rebalanced pace of desertification, less damage to Egyptian improvements from the dust bowl and in-game messages. And the updated version of PyScenario included doesn't hurt either... (Also see the added scenario maker's notes in the documentation.)
 
Could this work on RFCC?
If you merge RFCC with PyScenario... I haven't looked at RFCC but all lines in CvRFCEventHandler.py that are associated with PyScenario would have to be manually transferred to the corresponding file in RFCC. But I haven't tried it myself.

I think you should try it. If it works than that would be pretty awesome!
 
Ah, PyScenario is far from finished. I see little point with merging it with something else at this point. But I'm not stopping anyone else from trying...
 
LuKo, what? I though you were a PyScenario user and so its up to you to update and add to the script. :D
 
I'm not currently developing. But you can totally tweak things yourself.
