I am an experimental electronic musician, and I sometimes use sounds found in Civ3- nukes, battleship movement, catapult creaks, etc., as samples- I built an entire song around the battleship move noise. I just wanted to know about any legality issues here- is it illegal to use these samples? Do I need to credit the designers or whatever of the game? Do they get a share of the profits is I ever make any?
