San Andreas - Quick questions

This isn't a question, but I decided I can make this post in this thread. :)

The cops are mostly a pain in the butt, but sometimes they crack me up.

I was having fun with and testing out the Packer, a vehicle that doesn't actually fit into the city streets. I had to stop in a crossroad, and then a motorbike cop crashed into my side. The bike stopped, and the cop flew and landed on my vehicle. He got on his bike and tried to drive through my Packer...

Of course it didn't work - and a building blocked everything in front of me, other vehicles blocked all space behind me.

Eventually the cop gets frustrated. He leaves his HPV1000 and... he hijacks one of the cars - a Perennial - that blocked the road!! Knocks the driver and pulls him out, then crash the Perennial into several cars to clear the road.
He traded the HPV1000 for a Perennial (worst car in the game)...

It's almost silly how much fun such a childish game can be, it's like being 20 again. :crazyeye:

This may sound stupid, but what checkpoint?

Let Me use a example...
The mission where u pick up OG Loc from jail and then kill Freddy, if u fail the killin Freddy part u can start all over again and itll take u to the part where u picked up OG Loc

or...

The Mission u gotta meet Ceaser to go to Angel Pines to take photograph of the San Fierro Syndicate, if u fail that mission after u picked up Ceaser, u can start all over, press a button, and then itll take it all the way after u picked him up

I think its called "Trip Skip" itll tell u on the side of the screen :P

Cops are great. In San Fierro try speeding towards a hill crest then breaking just as you go over it. You generally get very little air, but pursuing police end up all over the place.

The hovercraft provides similar fun. Driving on and off a beach will result in cop car pursuing you into the water.

New questions:

1. Is "gangbanging" same as beating up other gang members?

2. What or who is "OG"?

1. Did you mean gangbanger? If so it means they are in a gang.
2. Original Gangster
Aha. When I was on a tour and slayed many members of one gang, one of them I met approached me and asked if I was a gangbanger. The dictionary suggested something filthy, but I believed it meant banging (beating) up gangs or something.
Anyway - I need not to wonder any more. :)

Original Gangster, OK that makes sense. (How can Rockstar expect people to know such things??)

I have just bought some green clothes.

Is my colorus in any way affecting the game play? If I wear green, does it increase the chances to be fired at when I move around in the city? And what about the police, is it easier for me to get a wanted level?

It would be realistic, but I doubt this game is realistic in all ways. Sometimes (not always), other gang members recognised me as an Grove street - before I got green colours.

Erm, Gangbanging means something different than what Kumquat said.

Lets just say: More than one guy, 1 girl. In a room.

Seems it can mean a number of things.

3. gang banger:

some one who bangs(kills) gangster's

I believe this applies to Carl Johnson very much!

--------------------------------------------------------

Hey, what about my post/question about colors, above?

I have an urge to know, and I would rather not have to test out everything by myself. :p

I don't think it makes any difference. Ballas shoot at me no matter what clothes I wear.
Yes they will attack if you stop or get too close, also if you wear neutral colors.
But maybe they will easier recognise you if you wear green? It's difficult to tell, all I can say is that the difference is not very very significant.

Actually the Ballas is the least of my problems. I don't know why, maybe I travel less in their part of the city.
I have so far killed 1180 enemy gang members and very few of them are Ballas. (I have wasted 6348 people, many of them are the so-called police.) And I'm only at the 5th mission, "Nines and AK's". :mischief:

Sex Appeal.

That's it I think.
Yup, sex appeal is obvious true. But what really makes the sex appeal is what car you drive. But what use is it? The two-three first women was fun, now I feel spammed: Someone offers their "services" everywhere I turn. :ack:

Respect
I know how to improve it; I could run a 7-man gang already at the "Ryder" mission. :king:
It's clear that the respect stat tells how much the Grove street respects me, because increased respect increases the gang size limit.

The question is; does the increased respect affect how enemy gangs see me? Are they more likely to run away? Sometimes the enemy does run away, but I don't remember if they did when my respect was at zero. Most of the respect is earned by my crusade against the (criminal) police, so I can't tell if other gangs treats me different now.

Why is it that someone dressed in the green Grove Street "uniform" attack my gang? Bug or normal happening in gangs?

Now the last time, I had just made a 5-6 men large gang and robbed a victim.

Shortly after, a shooting starts behind me, it is a Grove guy attacking my people. This attacking guy was not under my control, because I could aim at him. I tried to control him and make him a member of "my" gang, but it didn't work. I disbanded all my gang and then again tried to make him a member, but he would not join.
I don't think all of my gang members fired back at him, no one died the few seconds I watched. I guess 15-25 bullets was fired.
I don't know how the civil war ended because I fell off the bridge.

What's up?

Respect: Nope, they run away if they have no weapons or if their entire group got slaughtered in less than a second (PANIC!!!!!!)

Grove Colours: Happens a lot. They are not from Grove Street themselves, they are probably from one of the other green gangs (Temple Drive, etc etc).

More green gangs? Exactly the same green clothes?
I see guys with Grove colors many places in Los Santos, and they are always friendly with me. Never have someone refused to join me.

The last incident happened one street south of Grove Street, at the bridge south-east of my home. Here I have never seen enemy gangs. Also, this attacking guy was alone. He suddenly was in our midst, I believe he came by car.

Edit: The gang wars have not started.

I was on a roof in Montgomery, placed some satchel charges. Two police officers got interested, but they were too stupid/lazy to climb buildings so they just ran around and yelled at me. They could not shoot at me where I was, but this also meant I couldn't see everything down there.

Then I heard the voice of a very angry old farmer woman. Angry like a violin! She limped slowly around, at first I didn't see what her target was. Then it became clear she chased one of the cops, for whatever strange reason. That cop ran around trying to find a way to shoot me, so most of the time she limped behind him, shouting all kinds of funny things.

Eventually the cop came in range of her bare fists, and more funny sounds could be heard. It seemed like the police didn't care about her, they were determent to get me. A little later it became silent and I saw a nightstick spinning in the air. The other cop disappeared too.

End of comedy and minor problem fixed.

 The "Just Business" mission with Smoke = Mission Impossible.

Of course it is possible, with a bit of magic and Godly intervention perhaps.

It's hard to shoot all those Ruskies on bikes. I use MP5, I think this is the best weapon since I can't dual-wield from the back of a bike anyway. I know the tactic: Consentrate on the bike (drivers) first, cars second. Not waste bullets on the Packer truck.

At a point Smoke complains about the gear box, and usually we blow up a bit after that.
Grrr. :(

Just remember to take out the bikers and the drain grill. I've never found it to hard...

It's quite easy once you get good at aiming. Shoot the people on the bike, not the bike itself. For the cars, don't waste your time shooting the car, shoot the guy in the passenger seat and shoot out the tires. At the beginning, where Smoke stops because of a roadblock, blow up the middle car, and then kill the people in front of you.
