save question

hello, im LP
im a mac user, and im addicted to civ3

yoroshiku onegaishimasu

ive recently wanted to try one of these GOTM deals, however when i try to open the save in civ3 (using various methods) i always get some kinda funky I/O error and it doesnt load

whats the deal, please advise

What system are you using? Could you quote the error message, please?

naturally i have read the faq.

i have a 700mhz iBook, OS 10.2.3

the error message reads :

Odd. Are you using the latest patch? 1.29?

If it's 1.29, it is not the Mac, but the PC version. Hence he error.

Does the save game have a little map icon with it? You might want to try and use a program like
infoX to change the file creator to Civ3 and the type to GAMs. that might fix your error.
