Save version 1.01

I've installed the patch (but had a few issues), and even though i've deleted every record of my old version 1.01 saves, and played & saved a few turns since installing the patch, it still says 'Save version 1.01' in the 'About This Build' option in the main menu.

Is this a problem ?

ps. It does say civ version 1.09 but the save version is still 1.01 ? Any ideas ?

Hum, I thought it was 1.00, then 1.08, then 1.09? In any event I have been able to use 1.00 saves in 1.08 and now 1.09.

Ok look at the build and if is 1.09, you are good.

thanks guys....build definately says 1.09.
Save version still 1.01.
Ignoring wierdness. Proceeding to immerse in my virtual existence as Elizabeth of the English. And im not a tranny !

I think he refers that saves version is 1.01 with patch 1.09

In both 1.00 and 1.08 save version was 1.00, and thus those saved games were compatible.

On the other hand, it seems that patch 1.09 uses new 1.01 version of saves (no, it does not mean saves from some beta patch v1.01, it just means updated save format compared to 1.00)


So I'm curious, do really all 1.00 saves work with new patch?
(is new save format backward compatible)

Wierd. I'm patched to 1.09, but the build info says saves are still 1.00. Used 1.08 for the day before 1.09 came out.
