Saving/Loading Multiplayer

Quick question. I've heard about the posibility of saving/loading multiplayer games, but a lot of googled info is relating to old patches or complaining about how complicated it is. :(

Basically, I like to play teamed up multiplayed with a friend of mine, against the AI. The problem is we can rarely find 3-5 hours free to actually get a massive campaign going!

I'm aware you can save via Control and S, but I'm not sure how this works.

1) If I save via Control and S, how can I later load the game with my friend in also?

2) What is the "Steam Cloud" with regards to saving? Should I save to that or just normally?

3) Does just one person have to save the game to be able to set it up again?

4) Is all of this actually possible? :(

Cheers anyone who can help :)

EDIT - Unfortunately posts like this (linked below) are both useful and not. They imply that I can save and load with friends, but the information is potentially out of date. I still don't know how this relates to question number one, how to actually load a saved MP game back up!

I do it by setting the autosave to save every turn. I have never been able to get a ctrl s save to load. Then just start multiplayer. host a private game and load your most recent auto save. Been playing a single game once a week for a few weeks this way.

There is a way to use the Save that you get from Ctrl + S , you have to go into your " My documents" Folder , and go to My game , Civ 5 folder , Saves , Multi , then find your game save , then copy it or cut it , open the auto folder , save it in there and add AutoSave to the front of it.

Then you can load it.

Worked for me now for about a week , with no real issues , although if the game freezes or gets way out of sync , you may have to use the Autosaves

Alright cheers guys :) I'll set the autosave to every other turn or something. Your help is appreciated.
