Scenario Invalid?!?

Well, I've been through nearly half a dozen problems with my Civ3Complete, and it looks like it just doesn't want to give up

I go to click Multiplayer in the main menu and a popup comes up reading:

"Scenario Invalid!

Could not open scenario file. The file may be corrupt!"

So I click the 'O' and it acts as if it's loading multiplayer and nothing just happened and then it gives the "Civ3Complete has stopped working" error.

Anyone heard of this one?

EDIT: This happens when I click ANY button (New Game, Quick Start, etc.) except 'Load Game', 'Preferences', 'Credits', or 'Exit'. HELP!

...and once again, it was due to a User Account Control (UAC) error, which i solved

What did you do to resolve the issue??? I'm having the same problem... I'm guessing my problem is also with it the user accounts.

This method was found about a year ago and should be able to fix this problem.

Go to:

C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III Complete\Conquests\CampaignRecord.hof

Go to properties, uncheck 'Read Only' then click 'Apply' and 'OK'
It'll fix this problem for all conquests
