Scenarios?

I haven't heard this being talked about.

Do you think we'll finally get good Firaxis made scenarios without the expansion pack?

I would hope not. For the initial installment the focus should be on the main game. Scenarios are a distraction from that.

No. They said no scenarios in the core game.

Highly likely that scenarios will either be user-created, in expansions, or released in free updates or for-pay DLC.

I'd hope for at least an earth map (map not scenario)

Oh sure, there will hopefully be some maps - maybe earth map, Europe map, New World, Eurasia, Mediterranean.

Just hope that an euro-map actually shows the whole of Europe and don't cut of half of Scandinavia for northern africa
