  • All of the above is noted with the current tech we hold.

From the Science Advisor's Mouth

We are technological advanced.
We lack the funds to keep up in research.
Something about Theology having great Cultural power.

The Frontlines

We are currently going to get Monarchy in 40 turns.

The soul source of are research is a scientist.

AI tech advancement strategy

Like Foreign Affairs has with the Friend & Foe thing. Science will have a way to catoragorize an AI's advancement. Here is the list:

Highly Advanced: Considered to be a fast researcher and gains techs at a quick rate. Should check science advancement as many times as possible for availble tech trades. Trades are heavily considered

Advanced: Considered to be an ok researcher and gets techs at a good rate. Should check science advancement as much as possible for avaible tech trades. Trades are heavily considered

Non-Advanced: Is a slow researcher. Tends to not acquire techs very often. Should check their advancement status occasionly. Tech trades are accepted as long as they are a fair deal.

Hunter: Tends to have very little/ no research rate. Buys techs from other nations quite often. Science advancement should be checked occasionly. Tech trades are heavily considered.

Now..... We have a ton of information here.... What can we do with it?

Fantastic! This is perfect, Strider. :)

I think a good next step is identifying techs that we can freely sell when we acquire them. With so many AI's my personal feeling is sell everything we get as soon as we get it. When we sell for less than the absolute value of a tech we get relationship bonuses that will help get and keep the AI friendly. We'll also make some excellent cash by selling techs that can be used for embassies and a horseman -> knight rush.

I would suggest we trade monotheism to all the AI's that we can. According to that trade discussion monotheism sells will be the best.

I have to agree. Normally, I'd be hesitant about selling Monotheism, for the simple fact that the AI's culture will skyrocket due to Cathedrals. But at this level, it'll only end up being traded anyway. Let's sell away!

Yes.... I would normally refuse to trade monotheism for that reason and also that the AI's are slightly behind us. Trading it to them would catch them up, but the benefit of gold we get out weighs that by much.
