It had to do with a faulty capacitor, a couple of months ago the power supply went haywire, fixed it, then the fan blew, replaced it.
Certain big name brands are buying barebooks/ basic components from a certain Taiwanese supplier (Clevo) to keep costs down. If you had hinges or keyboards breaking on you recently, you know them.

The Praetorian guard hail from the world of Praetoria whose overpopulated hive cities are renowned for their squalor and degradation, where even air is rationed, and produce some of the toughest gangers. This vast population offer slave-labour in the huge manufactoria complexes of Praetoria, producing the goods that have made the planets rulers among the richest in the galaxy, with a huge fleet of merchant voidcraft. The Praetorians are renowned for their iron discipline and bravery beaten into them through fearsome training and draconian punishments for the most minor infringements so that the hive-toughened inhabitants of their planet can be made to follow orders and do as they are told.
