Scoring Bug (infinite time)

At the (supposed) end of my latest game, something strange happened. I conquered the world, and nothing happened. My spaceship was launched with 100% probability of success, by nothing ever came of it, either. (it still says i got points for it on my score). It is now 2123 AD and the game is STILL KEEPING SCORE!!! (note: the game i am playing was originally a play for the highest scoring cheiftain game.) At this rate, I could be the first with a 3000% cheiftain game!! Had this bug(feature) happened to anyone else? Does it disqualify my score (I swear i didn't cheat!).

I am attaching a list of savegames (ziped) you can load and observe this phenomenon. In the 2001AD save, just play out the turn as normal. DO NOT END TURN BY PRESSING CTRL-N. For some reason, this causes the spaceship to reach alpha centauri. Load the 2100+AD games and look at the civ score screen if you dont believe me that it is still logging score.

Did i discover this? Please reply!

My internet connection dropped out right after i posted this topic, and before i realized i hadnt actually posted the saved games. So here they are, up to 2155 AD (and still tallying score!)

Also worth noting, i am playing with the latest patch (mar-99-patch3) of CivII MGE. I am not running any third party enhancements/cheating tools. (ill send you my civ2.exe if you disbelieve me.)

I am having trouble uling this file, so i hope it works this time.

I figured out why it was screwing up - the zip is 1.3 megs (it contains 42 saved games - from 1510 AD to 2155 AD), the 2166 AD one is an experiment with fundamentalism to counteract the ENORMOUS barbarian hordes that started showing up EVERY TURN around 2100AD and still continue).

Do not know if this pertains to your situation. Way back when in the days of Civ I, I had destroyed the first settler unit for a civilization. That game would not end for me as well. I would think that it is some kind of bug that if a civilization never starts a city, it cannot be destroyed.

If I remember correctly I also tried to build a spaceship to colonize, but it would not let the game end.
