So a couple days ago, at the urging of a friend, I reinstalled HoI2: Doomsday. Problem is, whenever I start it up, the screen flickers. Sometime its once every minute, sometimes constantly ( ive noticed it does it a lot with static areas, like on the loading screen for a scenario, it flashes a lot). Im running Omega 3.8.360 Radeon drivers ( I get large increases in framerate with these over Catalyst).
- I know there are newer Omega drivers out there, and Im downloading them right now, but in case that doesnt solve it, anyone have any other ideas? Ive got ATiTrayTools installed, so I can mess around with that a bit.
EDIT - As I feared, the driver update didnt help at all.
EDIT2 - Well then, i figured out that its just most likely bad coding since it doesnt flicker when I have all background tasks off. Well, everything but iTunes ( somewhy, that doesnt affect it). The worst off is Firefox as that just made the game go ballistic, and then its MusikCube, which also screwed things up. Now this is the first time I see this, so anyone have any suggestions on how to mitigate it without closing the programs? I like to multitask, meaning every few minutes I switch between firefox, my media player or w/e else Im doing..I like to keep all of them open and whatnot.
