Screen resolutions beyond 1024x768?

Hi! When I've looked at some screenshots from Civ3 it seems as the screen resolution is sometimes greater than the 1024x178 that my Civ3 always starts up in. Is this just my imagination, or is there any way I can run Civ3 in greater resolutions?

There is. Edit your civilization3.ini file to KeepRes=1, and set your video mode on your computer to something like 1200x1024.

Also, if you have a higher res setting, you can sort of run civ in a windowless "window".

KeepRes=1
Video Mode=1024

Note the space between Video and Mode. It needs to be there to work.

Is it odd that I cannot find my civilization3.ini file? Ever since I resinstalled Civ3 and Conquests, I have been searching for the file to change the video resolution as well as to turn off the movie that comes on when you open the game. I have had no luck in finding it, though. I think this is very odd.......Any ideas?

Yaype: The file may be located in the conquests directory and called conquests.ini
