Screen turns black when entering leader screen

I just purchased a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti and I am having problems while playing. It doesn't happen all of the time, but sometimes when entering a diplomacy screen, the screen turns black and I can't see anything. The sounds are still there and I believe I can control stuff but it is kind of hard without being able to see anything. The stays black after getting out of the diplomacy screen too.

I looked up this problem and found a few other threads but they were fairly old and didn't have any solutions. Have there been any solutions since?

Try going into the game menu in Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5, then go into either DX 9 or DX11 graphics settings, depending on what you are using, and set value for use static screenshots to 1. This fixed it for me.
