Geeze, what was it? There was animated cartoon series, from Japan. Star Blazers? They built a starship from the Yamato wreck, and I think it was located on a patch of desert because the evil alien Gamalons had been bombarding Earth with radioactive meteorites.

I'd check your city production screen to see if you can build a star cruiser.

This is done very easily. You can turn oceans into mountains, hills into plains, desert into tundra, etc....
In the editor, click on edit rules, then go to the terrain tab. Select the "terrain type" then change the "pollution effect" below.
The pollution is so ridiculous in this game that I changed all my Pollution Effects to "None"

Well it's really interesting and we should take this to heart what global warming can do and in the near futures all our oceans will be desert. Hmm I predict this could be very harmful for shipping-companies.
